Softball Preview: Tri Titans vs. Randolph Southern Rebels

Tri is a perfect 10-0 against Randolph Southern since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Titans will host the Rebels at 10:00 a.m. Randolph Southern took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Tri, who comes in off a win.

Tri took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Richmond. The high-scoring effort was just what the Titans needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Ashton Richey made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Richey was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
