Esparto's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Golden Sierra Grizzlies a 7-0 shutout. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Golden Sierra with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from David Martinez (4), Alan Venegas, Ramiro Moreno, and Alexander Luna.

Esparto has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season. As for Golden Sierra, their loss dropped their record down to 0-17-2.
