Oak Hall is a perfect 7-0 against Cornerstone Academy since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Eagles will take on the Cougars at 4:00 p.m.

Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Corinth Christian Academy out of the water with an 84-48 final score. The Cougars pushed the score to 66-40 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors had little chance of recovering from.

Oak Hall better focus on containing Micah Whing and Joa Walters as the pair were huge in Cornerstone Academy's win. Whing dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards, while Walters dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most points Walters has posted since back in December of 2024. Raphael Valerio-Nunez was another key player, putting up seven points along with 12 assists and four steals.

Cornerstone Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. They racked up 11 more assists than Corinth Christian Academy's also-impressive total of 12.

Cornerstone Academy pushed their record up to 1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Oak Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything came up roses for Oak Hall against Cornerstone Academy when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured an 81-22 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
