Softball Game Preview: Franklin Admirals vs. Summit Spartans

Franklin is 1-9 against Summit since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Admirals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Franklin is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Nolensville, falling 10-1.

Franklin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Rowland, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Summit suffered their biggest loss since March 29th on Tuesday. They lost 19-11 to Independence.

Audrey Cathey stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Samantha Malcolm was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20-1. As for Summit, their loss dropped their record down to 18-12.
