Basketball Game Preview: Travelers Rest Devildogs vs. Seneca Bobcats

The Travelers Rest Devildogs will square off against the Seneca Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Travelers Rest is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Daniel just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 59-51 to the Lions.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Seneca's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They received a blow as they fell 60-41 to Blue Ridge.

Despite the defeat, Seneca saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Savannah Weston dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Weston has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 14 times she's played. Ja'Nyce Floyd was another key player, putting up eight points and seven assists.

Even though they lost, Seneca smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blue Ridge only pulled down three offensive rebounds.
