Baseball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Lakeside School's 12th in Last 13 Outings

There's no place like home for Lakeside School, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Deerfield Warriors on Monday.

Brayden Vachon was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

Lakeside School is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. Deerfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Lakeside School wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Mundelein on the 25th. As for Deerfield, they will venture away from home to challenge DePaul College Prep at 7:15 p.m. on April 1.
