Softball Recap: Altha Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Altha duked it out with St. John Paul II on Friday. The Altha Wildcats fell just short of the St. John Paul II Panthers by a score of 7-6.

Reagan Roberts made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Altha has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. St. John Paul II now has a winning record of 4-3.

Altha will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on FAMU DRS at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for St. John Paul II, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 defeat against Escambia on the 7th.
