Softball Recap: University Gets the Win

University's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Orange Tornadoes 20-19. This was payback for the Phoenix, who suffered a 28-15 loss the last time these two teams met.

University got a massive performance out of Tessiah Foster, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mamawah Musa, who went 1-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one double.

University's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Orange, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, University will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Shabazz at 4:00 p.m. As for Orange, they will head out to face off against Linden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
