Baseball Recap: Anclote's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Anclote made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Pasco, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Anclote was the clear victor by a 9-2 margin over Pasco on Friday. The Sharks not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 7th.

Anthony Brasby was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anthony Ramos, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Nathan Langley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Anclote's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13. As for Pasco, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anclote will venture away from home to face off against East Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Lake's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Anclote's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pasco, they are taking a road trip to take on Wesley Chapel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pasco is facing Wesley Chapel at the right time seeing as Wesley Chapel is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
