Basketball Game Preview: Fannin County Rebels vs. Gordon Lee Trojans

The Fannin County Rebels will head out on the road to take on the Gordon Lee Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fannin County will be strutting in after a win while Gordon Lee will be coming in after a loss.

On Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Fannin County beat Union County 48-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rebels.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Gordon Lee's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 61-39 to Chattooga. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Trojans have suffered since November 25, 2024.

Fannin County pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Gordon Lee, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Fannin County was able to grind out a solid win over Gordon Lee when the teams last played back in December of 2016, winning 48-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fannin County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
