Baseball Game Preview: Forrest Rockets vs. Stewart County Rebels

For the second straight game, Forrest will face off against Stewart County. The Rockets will be playing at home against the Rebels at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Forrest will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Forrest's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They skirted past Stewart County 1-0. That's two games straight that the Rockets have won by just one run.

Not much got past Reid Gentry, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Stewart County off the board. Gentry has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Forrest secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Kason Fuller, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Forrest's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Stewart County, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-16.
