Ballard has gone 8-2 against Carroll recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Ballard Bombers will head out on the road to square off against the Carroll Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Ballard turned things around against Gilbert on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-40 victory over the Tigers. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bombers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Tigers are ranked 50th).

Meanwhile, Carroll waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 47-34 victory over the Bluejays.

Carroll has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points per game. As for Ballard, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-12.

Ballard couldn't quite finish off Carroll in their previous matchup back in January and fell 34-32. Can Ballard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
