Baseball Recap: Mason County Eastern's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hesperia, Mason County Eastern was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Suttons Bay Norsemen with a sharp 9-3 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cardinals as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Clayton Logsdon, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Ron Hassenbank was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Mason County Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 6-17. As for Suttons Bay, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Mason County Eastern will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Norsemen: the pair will be back at it again later today.
