Flag Football Recap: Hannah Orton's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sequoia over Galileo + How To Watch

Sequoia came into this matchup off a tough 28-point loss on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Galileo Lions by a score of 35-33 on Thursday. The Ravens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sequoia's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hannah Orton, who threw for 223 yards and three TDs while completing 89.5% of her passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Another pass catcher making a difference was Madeleine Briant, who picked up 87 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Angelica Hunter had an outrageously good game for Galileo as she rushed for 70 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries, and also threw for 134 yards and one touchdown.

Sequoia's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Galileo, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Sequoia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 33-27 defeat against San Mateo on the 6th. As for Galileo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-6 win against Lincoln on the 11th.
