Basketball Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland and Sumrall squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Richland had to settle for second. They fell 60-49 to the Sumrall Bobcats.

It was another big night for Ella Robertson, who posted 27 points in addition to six assists and six boards for Sumrall. The contest was Robertson's 11th in a row with at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Jori Glass, who put up eight points and five rebounds.

Richland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sumrall, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 18-15 record this season.

Richland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sumrall, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bobcats challenge the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Morton will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Sumrall surely won't give up without a fight.
