Basketball Recap: Rickards Snags Tenth Win in Last 11 Games

Rickards had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 59-47 win over the Ribault Trojans on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Trojans back in December of 2024, they had to take a 55-48 loss.

Rickards' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jariyah Jordan led the charge by dropping a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. That's the most points Jordan has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Genesis Henry, who went 6-for-14 on her way to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Rickards smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 20 consecutive matchups.

Rickards has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Ribault, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-9.

Looking ahead, Rickards is taking a road trip to face off against Bishop Kenny at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Kenny will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Rickards surely won't give up without a fight. Ribault does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
