After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln-Way Central, Marist was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Chicago Washington Patriots with a sharp 8-1 win.

Evan Smith made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
