Volleyball Recap: Mount Notre Dame vs. Loveland Tigers
Mount Notre Dame entered their match against Loveland on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Mount Notre Dame fell just short of Loveland by a score of 3-2. If Mount Notre Dame was looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to Loveland when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Mount Notre Dame sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 19-25, 25-23, 25-27, 15-9.
Cara Richter paced Mount Notre Dame's offense, picking up 17 kills. Richter got some help from Kendall Hubbard and her 39 assists. Leah Seeger controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Ella George was a one-woman wrecking crew For Loveland. as she had 25 digs and three aces. That's the most digs George has posted over her last six contests.
The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 8-5. As for Loveland, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.
Mount Notre Dame wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Seton on the 23rd. As for Loveland, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against West Clermont on the 23rd.
