Baseball Game Preview: Monroe Township Falcons vs. St. Joseph Falcons

For the second straight game, Monroe Township will face off against St. Joseph. Monroe Township will welcome St. Joseph at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Monroe Township's offense. They came up short against St. Joseph on Thursday, falling 8-0.

For St. Joseph's part, not much got past Joseph Barca, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Monroe Township off the board.

At the plate, Owen Kruly was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobby Christensen, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

St. Joseph was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Monroe Township only posted a batting average of .182.

Monroe Township dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for St. Joseph, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
