Football Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Isle of Wight Academy's offense. They took a blow against the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints on Friday, falling 46-0. The Chargers lost against the Saints in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 26-6 score last time.

Ethan Jones threw for 52 yards on six of 11 attempts. Jim Brown was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards. On the ground, Jayden Parsons rushed for 38 yards.

Isle of Wight Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Isle of Wight Academy will host Christchurch School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Atlantic Shores Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Saints' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
