Baseball Recap: Carroll's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Carroll can now relate to. They fell 6-3 to the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-2 loss on May 3rd.

Carroll got a good showing from Logan Inman, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The Chargers are 6-3 when Inman allows two or fewer earned runs, but 8-11 otherwise.

At the plate, Carroll saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Sparks, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Carroll moved to 14-14 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 22-5 win against Fort Wayne Northrop on the 2nd.
