Baseball Recap: Canyon Takes a Loss

If Canyon was feeling good fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Judson last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell just short of the Steele Knights by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Canyon has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Steele, they pushed their record up to 13-7-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

While Canyon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
