Christian Brothers Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Middletown North. That looming 2-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Colts yet this season.

Christian Brothers Academy easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-10.

Nick Decina was the offensive standout of the contest as he had eight digs and three aces. Those three aces gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Central Regional lost 3-0 to Southern Regional on Friday. The Golden Eagles have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Central Regional's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Christian Brothers Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
