Softball Recap: Hersey Takes a Loss

Hersey easily dispatched Buffalo Grove on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Huskies fell just short of the Stevenson Patriots by a score of 3-1 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Huskies couldn't push the score so high this time.

Hersey has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Stevenson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Hersey will host Glenbrook North at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Huskies will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Stevenson, they will head out to challenge Zion-Benton at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
