Basketball Recap: Makayla Watts and Jaziyah Foster Secure Win for Lamar County

Lamar County put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Ola Mustangs 54-37. The Trojans pushed the score to 47-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mustangs cut but never quite recovered from.

Lamar County was led to victory by JaZiyah Foster and Makayla Watts. Foster dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds, while Watts posted 22 points and four steals. That's the most points Watts has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Briana Jackson, who had a point in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Lamar County's record is now 3-0. As for Ola, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Lamar County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 70-36 victory against McDonough on the 20th. As for Ola, they have also already played their next contest, a 45-33 win against Alcovy on the 21st.
