Baseball Recap: American Heritage Find Success

American Heritage proved they can win big on Monday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the IMG Academy Gold Ascenders 4-3.

Brady Snow tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.

On the hitting side, American Heritage saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Ashley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Ashley has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

American Heritage is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for IMG Academy Gold, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

American Heritage has already played their next game, a 6-4 loss against Palmetto on the 27th. As for IMG Academy Gold, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 5-4 defeat against Pembroke Pines Charter on the 27th.
