Schaumburg gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bartlett Hawks a 1-0 shutout. Schaumburg's winning goal came courtesy of Emily Carlos.

Schaumburg will be playing at home against Crystal Lake South at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bartlett, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Geneva at 1:00 p.m.
