After flying high against Bayfront Charter last Tuesday, Hoover came back down to earth. Hoover lost 3-0 to the Crawford Colts on Thursday. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 25-17, 26-24, 27-25.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Crawford, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Hoover will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Point Loma at 6:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Crawford, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Mount Miguel on the 28th.
