Soccer Game Preview: Lawrence County vs. Pikeville

The Lawrence County Bulldogs will challenge the Pikeville Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pikeville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Lawrence County, who comes in off a win.

Lawrence County took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Greenup County. Lawrence County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Pikeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Letcher County Central, falling 6-3.

Lawrence County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three matchups. As for Pikeville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-1.
