Basketball Recap: Taryn Draine Key Part of Team Effort in Huskies Win

In Saturday's Canine Competition, Oak Park-River Forest prevailed. They took down the Richards Bulldogs 55-41 on Saturday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oak Park-River Forest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taryn Draine, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. What's more, Draine also posted a 46% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Genevieve Simkowski was another key player, putting up 13 points along with six assists and five steals.

Oak Park-River Forest was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Oak Park-River Forest's victory bumped their record up to 4-28. As for Richards, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season.

Oak Park-River Forest has already played their next match, an 82-25 defeat against Kenwood on the 18th. Richards does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
