Given Dobbs Ferry's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Barack Obama School for Social Justice is ranked 444th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Raheem Azeez and Seediya Jabbi certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Azeez almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds, while Jabbi scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Azeez continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Gonzalez, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Dobbs Ferry is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Barack Obama School for Social Justice, they dropped their record down to 10-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
