Basketball Game Preview: Enka Jets vs. Asheville Cougars

Enka is on a six-game streak of home losses, Asheville an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The Enka Jets will welcome the Asheville Cougars at 8:00 p.m. Enka knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Asheville likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Enka came up short against North Buncombe and fell 90-78. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (59), the Jets still had to take the loss.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Logan Trantham and Trent Clark. Clark had a great game and dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. Meanwhile, Trantham did his best for the losing side, putting up ten points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Asheville also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to North Buncombe by a score of 97-86. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (63), the Cougars still had to take the loss.

Enka's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Asheville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-19.
