Burton came tearing into Monday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Somerville Yeguas a 14-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Burton pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Somerville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.
