Basketball Game Preview: Triad Knights vs. Columbia Eagles

The Triad Knights will face off against the Columbia Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Triad is headed into Tuesday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Highland on Friday.

Meanwhile, Columbia had to suffer through a 74-33 loss at the hands of Breese Central. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Triad's loss dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Columbia, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-6.

Triad strolled past Columbia in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 53-37. Will Triad repeat their success, or does Columbia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
