Basketball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Skyline's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Skyline posted their closest victory since December 7, 2024 on Thursday. They skirted past the Tipton Cardinals 64-62. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 186th, while the Cardinals are ranked 407th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Skyline has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points over those games. As for Tipton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
