Basketball Recap: Lakota Tech Drops Season-High Score on Mahpiya Luta

Lakota Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 85-63 to the Mahpiya Luta Crusaders. One positive for the Tatanka, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Mahpiya Luta's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Anderson, who went 6 for 12 en route to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Tokeya Big Crow, who posted 12 points.

Lakota Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Mahpiya Luta, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

Lakota Tech wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-57 loss against Cheyenne-Eagle Butte on the 17th. Mahpiya Luta has also already played their next contest, a 65-35 defeat against Custer on the 17th.
