Preview: Calhoun Sandcrabs vs. Jones Trojans
Calhoun is on a ten-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Jones an eight-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Calhoun Sandcrabs will take on the Jones Trojans at 7:35 p.m. on Tuesday.
Calhoun suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They were beaten by West Oso 74-45. Calhoun has not had much luck with West Oso recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, even though West Oso scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, Jones still came out on top. Jones took their match against West Oso 64-56.
Calhoun's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Jones, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season.
Calhoun was dealt a bruising 77-38 defeat at the hands of Jones in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Calhoun avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
