Taconic had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Holyoke on Friday. The Thunder blew past the Purple Knights 9-3. The win continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Purple Knights: they've now won seven in a row.

Chase Wendling made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Wendling was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Quentin Christopher was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Ed Ferris was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
