Volleyball Recap: Smithville Victorious

The Smithville Seminoles earned a 2-0 victory over the Wheeler Eagles on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Seminoles.

Smithville easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-10.

Despite the loss, Wheeler saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Savannah Hancock had 14 digs.

Smithville's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Wheeler, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Smithville has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Hatley on the 11th. As for Wheeler, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Nettleton on the 9th.
