Volleyball Recap: West Point Falls to Williams Field

West Point's tournament run continued when they took on Williams Field on Friday. The Dragons fell 2-0 to the Black Hawks. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jiya Walker paced West Point's offense, picking up five kills. Walker got some help from Appalina Waznis and her 13 assists.

Williams Field's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Makenna Mooney led the charge by getting 20 assists, four digs, and two aces. Another player making a difference was Madi Smith, who had seven kills, six digs, and three aces.

West Point now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Williams Field, they are now 6-7, having gone 3-1 since their three-game losing streak ended.

West Point wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Thunderbird on the 11th. As for Williams Field, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Mountain Ridge on the 11th.
