Basketball Game Preview: Peninsula Catholic Knights vs. Norfolk Collegiate Mighty Oaks

Meanwhile, Norfolk Collegiate had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Hampton Roads Academy on Tuesday as Norfolk Collegiate made off with a 53-33 victory. The Mighty Oaks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Peninsula Catholic better keep an eye on Justin Burrough. He was instrumental in Norfolk Collegiate's win, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, Burrough also racked up five blocks, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Savion Samlal, who posted five points.

Peninsula Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Norfolk Collegiate, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
