Basketball Game Preview: South County Stallions vs. Edison Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the South County Stallions will head out on the road to face off against the Edison Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Edison took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on South County, who comes in off a win.

South County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Justice 83-46. Given the Stallions' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Wolves are ranked 357th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Edison faced off against Hayfield on Friday. Edison fell just short of Hayfield by a score of 56-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Hawks since February 25, 2023.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for South County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
