            Baseball Preview: Chambersburg Trojans vs. Central Dauphin Rams        
        
		
        
        
            Chambersburg is 2-8 against Central Dauphin since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Wednesday. Chambersburg is taking a road trip to  challenge Central Dauphin  at 4:15  p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Monday, Chambersburg didn't have quite enough to beat Cumberland Valley and fell  8-7.
 W Martin was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Martin was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  E Brown was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  K Barclay, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Central Dauphin fell victim to Mifflin County and their airtight pitching crew  on Monday. They took  a  3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Central Dauphin also got a good showing from  Nick Tirado, who   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 Central Dauphin now  has a losing record of 1-2. As for Chambersburg, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.
 Chambersburg beat Central Dauphin 5-0  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chambersburg since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
