Englewood dropped down to 4-2 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were dealt a 36-7 loss at the hands of the Kent Denver Sun Devils. The Pirates were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than 31 points in the three games prior), but the Sun Devils' defense proved too tough.

Englewood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Michael Beulah.

As for Kent Denver, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Considering they have won five contests by more than 19 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Leading Kent Denver to victory were Yianni Balafas and Vedder Yates. Balafas threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes, while Yates rushed for 25 yards and a pair of scores.

Englewood has already played their next game, a 49-0 defeat against Strasburg on the 17th. As for Kent Denver, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-0 victory against Bennett on the 17th.
