Baseball Recap: Scott Finds Home Field Redemption Against Madison Southern

There's no place like home for Scott, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They skirted past Madison Southern 5-4.

Scott got a great performance from Brock Ronnebaum as he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, Scott saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Bleha, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Bleha a new career-high.

Scott has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Madison Southern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Scott has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Lloyd Memorial on the 16th. As for Madison Southern, they will be playing at home against North Laurel at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
