Springfield had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 22-point drubbing they dealt Beavercreek on Friday. The Wildcats blew past the Beavers 60-38. That 22-point margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Springfield's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13. As for Beavercreek, their loss dropped their record down to 5-16.

Looking ahead, Springfield will challenge Miamisburg at 7:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Beavercreek, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lebanon at 6:30 a.m. on the 24th.
