Eastern put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Paul VI Eagles, sneaking past 5-3. The five-run effort marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Eastern's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Paul VI, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
