Basketball Recap: Edgewood Academy Comes Up Short

Edgewood Academy suffered their biggest defeat since January 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Bessemer Academy Rebels, falling 66-38. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Joshua Thompson was his usual excellent self, going 10 for 21 en route to 28 points for Bessemer Academy. The match was Thompson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Tyseon Smith also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Edgewood Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Bessemer Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.
