On Friday Easton Area's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Liberty Hurricanes, sneaking past 23-20. The 23-point effort marked the Rovers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Easton Area had a senior duo take command as Cole Ordway rushed for 70 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Chris Martinez rushed for 138 yards. Sean McPeek got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Easton Area's defense and their four sacks. Liberty's QB won't forget Kurtis Crossman anytime soon given he sacked him twice. McPeek got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Easton Area's record now sits at 8-0. As for Liberty, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Easton Area is set to take on their familiar foe Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Liberty will face off against rival Bethlehem Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
