Recap: Washington County Bulldogs vs. Leroy Bears
The Washington County Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 62-40 defeat at the hands of Leroy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Washington County has scored all season.
Leading Leroy to victory were Ray Phillips and Taylor Crumedy. Phillips scored 13 points along with six assists and five rebounds, while Crumedy scored 21 points along with two steals. Crumedy has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Sawyer Sullivan, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Leroy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
Washington County will be playing in front of their home fans against Blacksher at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Blacksher is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Leroy, they will head out on the road to challenge Bayshore Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
